All Comers Track Meet

An All-Comers Track & Field Meet will take place Thursday, August 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Northfield Middle School track, located at 2200 Division St. South. The event is free and open to the public. The fun, family-friendly meet welcomes ages 2-102! Races for participants include various sprints and distance runs, build-your-own relay and medley teams, in addition to a field event competition. First, second, and third place recipients will be awarded ribbons. The track and field meet is made possible by local running advocates in collaboration with Northfield Community Services. The idea sprung up from a Northfield RV Girl Scout Cadette troop that?s working toward earning their Silver Award. Their goal was to initiate a community-wide event that contributes toward healthy living. All are welcome; no prior experience is necessary.
