Description
According to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) one in four adults live with a mental illness in this country. And suicide is the third leading cause of death of teenagers. Every community needs help and support in understanding mental illnesses. NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness)offers over 300 classes across the state of Minnesota each year and are hosting a FREE Hope for Recovery workshop for family members and friends of someone living with a mental illness in Dakota and Rice counties. Participants will learn information about: mental illnesses, treatments, recovery, coping strategies, the mental health system, and local resources. The class is free but registration is required.
